FGA Motorsport was founded by Joffrey Moretti and his associate in 1997. At that time, there was no reason to suppose that their company would one day become the number one reference among European manufacturers of additional gearboxes.

FGA Motorsport was originally an importer and distributor of additional gearboxes, but Joffrey Moretti has always had more than one trick up his sleeve… the idea of developing his own range of products was in his mind from the very beginning.
Mr. Moretti felt that the additional gearboxes available on the market were insufficiently reliable and efficient. In addition, the available models were not at all in keeping with the growing demands of consumers.

Moretti met Olivier Colmant, an enthusiastic young automobile mechanic, in 1998. To Moretti, Colmant was the ideal partner for his development projects and for the optimisation of vehicle electronics.
Together, they worked on the development of their undertaking while creating a variety of structures within FGA Motorsport; staff was hired for the expansion of several services: trade, export, and R & D. This same work in the development of additional modules increasing engine torque while modifying various fuel injection parameters.

In 1999, with the assistance of an engineer, they built their first digital gear box based on electronic injection system management, in parallel with the original gear box.
This gear box will be the first 100% digital additional power gear box system created by FGA Motorsport.

In 2002, they continued the development of the company through a new structure based in Luxembourg.

In 2005, there was a new change within the FGA Motorsport – Belgium/Luxembourg Group: the creation of FGA Motorsport S.a.r.l., based in France.

Today, the Research and Development Department of FGA Motorsport, based in France, is working in collaboration with a network of distributors in a number of countries, on the development of additional gearboxes intended for all types of petrol and Diesel automobiles.
